Looking for recommendations for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that has as many of the following capabilities as possible (and then some):
-Tracking Work in Progress (WIP) utilizing hybrid RFID/Scan Tag system
-Capturing data for Quality Assurance (QA) processes
-Provide data for having more actuate production planning capabilities
-Listing the individual components required [utilizing the Bill of Materials (BOM)] for each step in the manufacturing process
In addition to general feedback, it would be helpful answer the following questions if possible as well:
-Have you personally had experience with this MES in similar use cases?
-What are some of the most impressive capabilities of the MES for the use cases I’ve listed?
-Can you suggest other use cases for the MES you recommend not listed (to increase value)?
-What are your reasons for why you recommend a particular MES over other products if you’ve used others previously or since?
This is for a manufacture that produces consumer electronics (many components into one larger product).
Another important piece of info: This is for use in a brand new deployment of Dynamics NAV (2016 or maybe 2017 in the coming months) in Taiwan, and so either having Traditional Chinese translations or capabilities to be translated by a developer/translator are very important.
