What makes users to choose Dynamics AX over other E.R.P like SAP, Oracle etc

From many days I have this question in my mind, so I would like to have a open discussion to share DUG’s views

To me it used to be that AX won over those products primarily on price. As a side, it also used to seem that AX was more flexible so that customers/partners could develop their own IP during the implementation allowing for customer to differentiate themselves from their competition. Any more it seems like the risk of projects spiraling out of control trumps the desire to build custom inhouse solutions. our customers are more often looking at these 3 products for who can implement the quickest so that they don’t get fired for going millions over budget. Panorama ERP analysts say AX is slipping recently and taking longer to implement which would be bad news for the way Microsoft has tried to position themselves. I commented on the same topic on twitter a few days ago: https://twitter.com/the_jon_stypula/status/713576128057749504 and provide the link because in there is a screenshot of what Panorama says is the average plan vs. actual implementation times.

Thats a great information thank you Jon Stypula

I’d believe AX leads in terms of providing better User interface , less Base product cost, cut down in implementation cost

compared with SAP,Oracle ERP’s.
