What is the difference of Posting No. Series and No. Series?

I am new with D365 and I’m confused with the use of Posting No. Series and No. Series whenever I make a batch.

I just guess what would be the one suitable for the entry I will make by clicking both. If there’s no warning then it’s okay.

But I want to know their difference.

Which product are you asking about? Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations? Business Central? I don’t think it’s Customer Engagement, so I’d like to get your question moved to where more people might see it!
