What is the best way to get Vendor Spend by Procurement Categories?

In D365 F&O you can usually track vendor spend by linking vendors to procurement categories and then running the spend analysis reports in Procurement & Sourcing. Many people also export the data to Excel or connect it to Power BI for clearer dashboards. It’s a pretty straightforward way to see totals by category and vendor, and it works well once your categories are set up properly.

I do not believe there is an out-of-the-box report for this. Like with any D365 implementation, a flexible reporting platform is critical for effectively managing the business with it.
