We are getting a strange error this morning on all Warehouse Shipments

We are receiving this error when trying to ship out SHP04268: “The length of the string is 17, but it must be less than or equal to 10 characters. Value: 12/20/24 07:44 AM”

This is what I have done so far, but has not worked:

  1. Deleted the original warehouse shipment – SHP04253.
  2. Changed the SO104086 order date from 12/20/24 to 1/6/2025 and then re-created a new warehouse shipment SHP04268.
  3. The error still popped up.

Do you have a custom date/time field on your Posted Warehouse Shipment or Posted Sales Shipment table?

It looks like the system is trying to pass or write data to a field that has a character length too short to handle the characters being fed to it.

Good Morning Ben,

It turned out that our MSP pushed some code to our system that I wasn’t aware of. I was freaking out a bit trying to figure out what was going on but we got it fixed yesterday. Thank you for responding to my post
