Warning While importing .dat file on new instance

Hi,

I am trying to import data on fresh instance from old instance , But I am facing below Warning.

“File did not contain any valid data. Nothing was Imported”

Please suggest any solution.

What data you are trying to import? Check if the all the setup are same for the import and export definition groups.

I am trying to import Master data . Please let me know what setup I need to do for import.

What version of AX?
Is this a brand new instance?
What are the tables in the Definition Group?
What are the settings of the Definition Group?
How many kb in size is the DAT and DEF file (You have both in the same import place I presume?)

Hi Adam,

Old instance application version 6.3.1000.309 and new instance application version 6.3.164.0.

Table groups are used for export - main,parameter,reference,framework,group,miscellaneous.
