Version of SQL Server for AX 2012 R2

Hi guys,

We are going to plan an installation of AX 2012 R2 for a customer. We need the most stable solution; which is the best version of SQL Server between 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012?

With AX 2012 R2 and SQL Server 2012 we had some sync troubles in the past.

You’ll find supported SQL Server versions in AX 2012 System Requirements. SQL Server 2012 is among them and in general: the newer the better, although what’s “the best” always depends on your specific situation.

I can’t comment “some sync troubles”.

We need a stable version of SQL Server that allow us to haven’t sync problems.

I seriously doubt that SQL Server 2012 is the one to blame. We all use it without any problem.

Database synchronization issues are usually cause by problems either in your database or your application, not in the SQL Server engine.
