Dear guys, last week we converted our Navision 3.70 to the SQL-Server-Option. We also use the Navision Application Server for executing self-written applications. Until the migration there were no problems. But the Application Server (3.70) cannot connect to the SQL-Server now. The event viewer brings me the following message: “The navision database on the SQL-2000 server cannot be opened by this version of Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision. The database has already been converted by a newer program version. You must upgrade Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision to the latest version in order to open the database.” Of course Application and Application Server are 3.70 as before. We only changed the database to SQL-Server. Thanks for your replies! Andreas, Cologne (Germany)
Hi! Hmm, maybe this is a strange question, but you use for sure SQL version of the NAS (nassql.exe)?
If you changed the database to SQL then you have also moved the binaries to the sql version. The binary (ndbcs.dll) you used to create the SQL database is a newer version of the NAS binary trying to open it. Check their version stamps.
Hi Joerg, of course we used the SQL-Server-NAS. Thanks. Andreas
