Hello,

VAR layer development code (in fact all license codes) are tied to a specific license.

Therefore you can get this code only either from your partner or from Microsoft.

Hi,

Usually there will be one person who will be managing Partner source (http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/en/us/partner-login.aspx) in all reseller organisations. Your best bet will be finding who manages this site in your organisation and ask for VAR layer code.

Alternatively contact local MS in your place.

Can you please give some brief information on licensing.

My basic requirement is my company is creating an add-on for one of our customer which(add-on) will be later integrate in AX 2009.

Now my concern is, do we required to register our add-on to use in AX??

If we required to buy license to register it(add-on) in AX 2009 the can you please give some more info. how can i buy it from microsoft?

Also as per my knowledge, do we have some limitation to create our new objects(form, table, classes, macro etc) in AX or to use the existing one of AX? is it depending on the license code?

I heard that to code only in VAR layer. can you please suggest me why?

Currently we are doing modifications in usr layer. (my company is partner and have the partner login)

Sorry, my questions are so many but all are on the same point(license code to develop our own add-on in AX2009).
