Value for checkbox (when paste data from Excel)

Hi all,

i am trying to Copy and Paste data into BC, when i export the list via Open in Excel, the value for checkbox are TRUE or FALSE. but when i paste the data back to BC, it said it is not acceptable value. May i know what is the acceptable value to checkbox ?

Hello,

I use Yes or No when I Copy/Paste back into a Boolean field in NAV/BC. Note that if the field Blocked is to be FALSE or No, just leave the value blank. Only populate for YES value.

Hi Steven,

thanks for the swift reply, i tried with blank, but it came out error seem “blank” is not acceptable. If fact i tried on some other data entry, it did accept Yes/No for checkbox but think it is not consistent across.

i found out the issue was due to one of the record.

if i only paste this one row into BC, it having a " in front and at the back of description

i can’t figure out what’s wrong with this record, and why BC added the " to the description

Hi all,

i figure out if was due to the ", but i am not sure why the source having this (i am exporting from another BC instance using Open in Excel), anywhere, i can just use -clean() Excel command to clear all the in-visible character in the text. Thanks anywhere.

Yes, BC/NAV and the ‘’ symbol tell BC/NAV there is a carriage return. Great catch.
