use of thefield Discrete order quantity in Item master

Hello,

what is the use of the field Discrete order quantity in Item master . Field No -5410.

How can we use this field ?

F1 is not throwing any help ?

F1 Search only shows it on two tables, it is an Integer and not decimal:

The Outbound Product Catalogue Line Table

The Inbound Product Catalogue Line Table

This field is read-only. Therefore, you cannot enter anything in it. For further information, see the Help for the corresponding field in the Item table.

There are loads of fields like this in ‘Dynamics NAV’ that are there but are not used, so why do you want to know?

It is the standard manufacturing quantity in a discrete environment which is for information purposes unless you find it is not.

As a functional Consultant , It is my responsibility to know the all fields which are availble and how can we use this field in Practical scenerio.

If the help is there , then i can understand .

In indian localization NO HELP.

so i think Experts already know about this field.

As a functional consultant you should know the functional side of the standard Dynamics NAV product, plus any custom modules your company may supply, not all the fields, there are 17582 fields in the database, many of these after 13 years in Dynamics NAV, I have never even looked at.

The Product Catalog Subform has 122 fields, one of these is the “Discrete Order Quantity”, only 13 of these are displayed, I think that Adam has given you the ‘Expert’ use of this field, what more could you expect?
