Our current BC Supplier is carrying out an Upgrade from BC 16.0 to 22.0 on our On-premise Test Server. During the upgrade the DB Data and Log files are growing exponentially thus they unable to complete the upgrade. They are requesting for atleast 3TB disk space to complete the process. We have our BC hosted On-premise, the Live Server hosts a MDF file of 264GB and 257MB log file database. The same Database Backup is restored on our Test Server for the Upgrade. Is 3TB Really required for the Upgrade? What is the recommended hard disk size required?
Sounds like they aren’t controlling the log file properly. If the log file setup is not controlled, it will grow at a very fast rate and eat up all your space. Once they adjust the settings it should continually shrink back down.
