Upgradation of Nav Ver3.7 to Nav2013

I would like to know whether NAV Ver3.7 be straighta way upgraded to NAV Ver2013.

If not, what are the stages/Steps?

Hi Vijay,

Up to my knowledge, you can not directly upgrade from Nav 3.7 to Nav 2013.

You need to merged all patches in your application, after that Nav 3.7 to Nav 2009 R2 & from Nav 2009R2 to Nav 2013 can upgrade.

You need to upgrade version by version.

The steps would be from 3.70 to 2009 to 2013.

But: IMHO forget about an “upgrade”. 3.70 is ancient (2003), technically and regarding the design of business processes and features.
What you actually have to do is a “re-implementation”, thus starting from the scratch on a standard NAV 2013 and add your customizations. This is a good chance to verify/refresh your business processes, too.
And I guess this would be easier/quicker than a 2-step upgrade …

You should give serious consideration to the idea of a re-implementation.

I too strongly feel it is wise to reimplement in NAV Ver2013 rather than upgrading /migrating to NAV Ver2013 from NAV Ver 3.7.

However, major drawback would loosing the historical data of almost 7 Years or So.
