Hi experts,First of all I would like to say special thanks to everybody of DUG and Special thanks to ADAM ROUE for giving u r valuable solutions & suggestions to me.What is the meaning of unfulfilled orders in Navision. What is use of report Inventory – sales Back orders ( report 718)Could u throw some explanation on this. Thanks and regards
These are orders for whatever reason you have not shipped to the customer, but the customer still wants. The definition of the phrase “back order” changes per business so it can be a little confusing, but just think of them as outstanding orders (I would say where the shipment date is in the past, but others would not [:D])
Thanks Adam Roue,

That is really what the backorder report you first mentioned is!
Thanks Adam Roue,
Pending orders and Unfulfilled orders both are same or different ?
thanks
We use the term back order when
-
customer is ordering 10 units of an item; vendor creates a sales order.
-
vendor can only deliver 7 units: sales order line field “Qty. to Ship” is changed from 10 to 7; order is shipped (posted).
-
now sales order line field “Quantity Shipped” contains 7, field “Qty. to Ship” is now 3.
-
Now the order is a back order
