Unable to open email attachments in Timeline

We have some cases where we are trying to open the email attachments in the Timeline and we get this message:

“Could not download the file. Please refresh the page and try again.”

We have tried different browsers and cleared the cache. We confirmed the attachments in Outlook can be opened, just in case there was an issue in Outlook.

We are storing our attachments in Azure Blob using the MSLabs deprecated process. We are moving to mscrm-addons but I need to know why we can’t open the attachments. Side note, the attachments don’t get added to the Documents tab either.

Can you try using fiddler to see if a more verbose error message is provided?

@tsilver - I don’t know if this will help at all, but could you provide which file types you are seeing in your environment? I wonder if there might be a security or configuration issue.
