Twice as many records were Inserted as were imported

Hi,

New to Business Central, doing first data migration, and seeing something I don’t understand. Can anyone explain why I’m getting a message that twice as many records were inserted as were imported?

Here’s the details: Created a configuration package with only the sales header, table 36, to start importing open sales orders. I successfully import the package of 1,000 records, and see a records count of 1,000 in the configuration package’s “No of Package Records” field. Next, I validate the package, but then, when I apply it, I get the following message:

"1 tables are processed.

0 errors found.

2,000 records inserted.

0 records modified."

Note that twice as many records were inserted (2,000), as were imported (1,000).

I then go check table 36, and I only have the original 1,000 records. My questions are: why am I getting a message that twice as many records are inserted, and where (what table) are they being inserted into?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

So, in case anyone else has this question, I was able to identify that the second table populated was the Sales Order Entity Buffer, which is likely for syncing up to the sales order lines when I import them next.
