Transport & Labour cost in transfer order.

Dear All,

I want to catch Transport & Labour cost in transfer order.i am not able to get it.

After the transfer is executed , I can only see the material cost in the ledger.

My purpose is - ’ Find the increased iem cost after transfer.’

After this I want to know -

My company is in India. It has a warehouse outside India.After this material transfer what other costs need to be taken care of?

Please help.

In Transfer Order, go to line menu button in that u find strcture details there u can find labour cost and transport cost

In standard there is no option to add the other cost here in the transfer order.

As this is an indian localized version, you can make use of concept of transfer pricing…

I checked as per your answer.But could not get that menu.

Checked the path - Inv. mgmt. → Journals → Item transaction → Transfer → Line button → General. Here a field named

Misc. charges is present. But using it, we cannot give different costs for labour & transport.

On transfer order itself, in the lower pane there is a SET UP button. But I found it is disabled. Maybe there is some option for these costs.But how do I enable that SET UP button?

I checked in the transfer order u find structure details, for each transfer order u hav strcture details there u will give the labour cost and transport cost, these structure details must be different based on items. In that structure details form u hav to enter the costs and taxes

Where is the structure details form located?? Is it available only in the Indian localisation?? Because i am not able to find this in transfer order??

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to create a transfer order with no Cost price at all. Since in one particular scenario, let say we got an Item A as free, so i raise a purchase order zero cost price for Site 1 and now you transfer Item A from site 1 to site 2. But AX will post the Base cost price of Item A on this particular transfer transaction(In inventTrans “CostAmount”). But in real time you should expect the cost amount should be zero. Since we got the item A as free.

How to work on this scenario…?

That is what it will do depending upon your costing method and dimension group financial inventory controls - run the inventory close and it updates the transactions.

@Adam - But I’m surprised why the Inventory> Marking is not an option here in Transfer order.

@Santosh - it is, at a line level, I just forgot to mention it [:D]

@ Adam - In my test machine, I tried to mark a particular receipt assuming that system picks the cost at what i got the receipt. Unfortunately, it didn’t show me any receipts. Not sure whether my system is corrupt(As I played a lot with[:d]).

@Kaushik - from transfer line, you try Inventory>Marking> and check whether you are able to see the PO(the one you got at 0 price), If you see that PO then mark it and proceed further. Would be eagerly waiting to hear from you.

There is no such option in AX-2012 R2 for transfer journal to allocate labor and transport cost.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong.
