Could somebody please let me know what posting profile transfer orders call? At the moment I am unable to differentiate between a transfer order and standard purcahse order in relation to postings.
Thanks

Transfer order will not use any posting profiles as the postings are with in the Inventory.
They are two different functionalities.
In the Item Groups form click on the Postings button - where you will be able see the accounts related to the Transfer Order…
that takes you to the posting profile for stock. Do transfer orders only call the stock posting profiles?
Yes…
so this takes me back to my original (badly worded question!!) which posting profile, in the stock tab, do transfer orders use? Is it the Inter-unit payable and receiveable or the issue/receipt? If it is the issue/receipt what other functions are affected by this?
These are the entries posted…
Inventory Issue - Cr
Inventory inter - unit receivable - Db
Inventory Receipt - Db
Inventory inter - unit payable - Cr
have a look into the system by posting a transfer order…
The Inter-unit payable and receiveable are required for site based implementations to handle cost postings between sites - however I am not sure on the exact calling, the accounts are hit on the in and out purchase and sales transactions. Ship a transfer order and you will see the accounts populated. However if you have no sites then the system makes no financial postings at all.
