Timeout when login to Navision ver 4.0 SP1 after setting the Firewall in Window 2003 server

Hello,

After starting the firewall in Windows 2003 server, the user encounter timeout problem once they have enter the login password. Without firewall, everything is working perfectly.

How to resolve this?

Have you tried to setup the firewall to allow Navision to communicate thought it or opened up the ports Navision is using?

If you are using the Navision database server then make sure that TCP/IP port 2407 is open. I don’t know if the same port is used when the database server is SQL server. Also make sure that the server.exe program isn’t being blocked by the firewall.
