The field Unit of Measure of Sales Lines table contains a value (UDS) that cannot be found in the related table (Item Unit of Measure)

Hi, thanks in advance for taking a look into this,

I am trying to sync my products in BC to Shopify, I could establish connection after resolving a few errors, but everytime I try to do something I get a new one, this time when trying to sync BC products to Shopify I got the error: “The field Unit of Measure of table Sales Header contains a value (UDS) that cannot be found in the related table (Item Unit of Measure)”, and I can’t find where to resolve this.

What is weird is that some products have synchronized before this error pop up.

The image is spanish but it says “The field Unit of Measure of Sales Lines table contains a value (UDS) that cannot be found in the related table (Item Unit of Measure)”

Where should I look and what should I look for when trying to resolve this?

Please help,

Regards.

Hi,

It sounds like Shopify is trying to import/synchronize sales orders into your system now that the rest of the connection is working. I am going to assume that the UofM in Shopify is called UDS but that unit of measure is not associated with the item that the order is for,

eg: I have an item 1001 - Screw. The Base UofM in BC is PCS and there are no other units of measure.

I import a Shopify sales order and there is a line for Qty 1, Item No. 1001, Sales UofM BOX

Since the BOX isn’t in BC as an available Unit of Measure for my screws that I sell (item No. 1001) - you would get this error.

Go into BC, Open Item 1001, go Related|Item|Units of Measure

Add BOX as a Unit of Measure and set the Qty per Unit of Measure (eg: Box has 100 Screws)

And then the line should import.

Hope that helps.

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the support. But we do not have any orders in Shopify, we are still is testing mode and trying to get BC to work correctly with Shopify, this error is happening when we try to import BC products into Shopify.

What we can not understand is why some products with the same settings are being imported but then it stops.

Since the error that pop ups says it is realted to Sales Lines, we are looking at the Sales Lines and trying to find if there is a record where the UofM defined in “Lines” is different to the UofM of the product itself.

Maybe this could assist you to help us out.

Thanks again.

Pd.: We have just found a way to solve this, we changed Sales Unit of Measure to “UDS” in the specific product and then the error stopped appearing.
