Temporary user security

I was wondering if a time limit (i.e 30 days) could be applied to a user profile in system administration. Therefore if a company employed a temporary employee could they be assigned to a user profile that can be customised to expire in a certain period of time, hence stopping the need to remember to remove the user from the profile when they leave the company?


Look at Basic → Common Forms → Employee Details → Employee Dates tab…

There are Valid From - Valid To dates in there. I believe when the “Valid To” date == systemDate then the user becomes inactive…

(Users in AX are linked to Employees which should then meet your requirement, only the user becomes inactive as opposed to the profile…)

I know AX 2009 security very well, I’ve never seen anywhere to apply a time limit to a security role.
