I have notice the new network protocol TCPS for Navision version 4.0. I newer heard about TCPS, stand S for Secure? Whats the benefit in TCPS? Is this a better protocol that is faster, and should be the default value for a new install, or is it for some special purpose? Anyone have any deep knowledge or experience?
TCPS is TCP/IP but is also using SSPI (Security Support Provider Interface) to perform credential authentication between client and server, and to encypt/decrypt all data. It is the default for better security, not for speed, although it should be comparable with TCP speedwise.
