Tax calculations in misc. charges for sales orders

Hi all

I need to set up the calculations of a tax in a misc. charge for a sales order.

I alredy configure a misc. charge group for customer and for items, and define the price os the misc. charge. I define sales tax group for the misc. charge. The problem is that when I create the sales order, the misc. charge appers but it only has sales tax group and not item sales tax group. I guess that’s why it can’t calculate the tax. But, when I try to asign manually the item sales tax group and error that says: Sales tax cannot be calculated.

Any one has an idea how can I solve this?

hi Andrea

if you want to calculate tax on misc . chg , go to AR>Setup>misc . chg> misc. code>setup Item sales tax group, i think this setup solve your problem.

Thanks a lot for your answer, I did what you told me in my customer enviroment and this error: Sales tax cannot be calculated keeps showing up.

I also tried in standar AX with CEU data, and it worked. That makes me think I lost some paramether anywhere. Do you have any clue what parameter I need to select to activate tax calculation in misc. charges?
