switching to a 4/4/5 calendar

Hi

We are currently use the Gregorian calendar for our accounting periods in AX2009 but are considering switching to a 4/4/5 calendar. Once the periods have been created, are there any maintenance or cleanup steps needed? Are there any Management Reporter considerations? Will the internal financial statements need to be changed?

Hi Joe,

4/4/5 calendars have completely different period sets and they usually doesn’t start on 1 Jan or End on 13 Dec. You cannot modify current fiscal if you have posted transactions but you can edit your next calendars.

There is no any such maintenance. However, i think you can use reporting to run for a given date range.

You might want to review any reports that do prior year comparisons. I don’t work with AX, but I’ve run across different systems (including NAV) where some reports assume the prior year began exactly 1 year before. Not always true with 4/4/5 calendars.
