sub-assembly of a production order

Hi,

When a planned production order for a parent BOM is created will the production orders for the sub assemblies be created automatically?

What is meant by sub-assembly of a production order??

Yes and no depending upon the requirements and configuration of the system.

A sub-assembly is generally an element that can be manufactured independently from the parent - so a bike saddle assembly can be created and stored independent to the bike assembly itself.
