Hi folks,
We will always have some uncertified BOMs and Routings as products are developed as engineer to order.
However, we’ve hit an issue where the Standard Cost Worksheet. when I click on Roll up Standard Cost I get an error:
Status must be equal to ‘Certified’ in Production BOM Header
Can anyone please point me to a workaround for this? Is there any way to filter out items which have uncertified BOMs?
Cheers,
Hamish
When you’re doing your Cost Rollup, do you have sub-assemblies in BOMs that are uncertified? This can happen if the parent Item is Certified, but someone moves a sub-assembly into Under Development.
Hamish - in your ETO environment you may be able to ‘block’ the item and run planning filtering only for items not-blocked?
You would block the parent and all associated low-level prod items to insure you are not getting partial roll-up results creating potential inaccurate revalue entries.

Potentially, however I think this is also affecting items which are still in development - top level BOMs and Routings. It’s blocking me from rolling up costs for all items as a result…
That’s a good potential solution John, thanks. I can block those items until they’ve been reviewed and approved. I’ll try that today. Cheers
Following up this issue - John, you were correct. Blocking the items which are still redevelopment allows the standard cost worksheet to operate as expected.
Thanks for your help John and Ben
