hi friends i have converted my navDB to sql .its successfully runing on the customer site .but i cant get a backp in side navision (Tools Backup). its giving an error ex: john has locked the talbe puchers line .by giving this error its getting terminated. i can get the back up after all users log off. why is this plz give me an idiea to take a back up when users working .

You should put in place a backup schedule on SQL Server directly. Search SQL Server Books Online to learn how to do that. Start, All programs, SQL Server, Books Online.

if u r getting a back up from SQL side and restoring in SQL . then after the restoretion . if u go to navition fin.sql then it wont show the DB. according to navition standed they are saying do all the adminstrative work through navision. plz help me to solve this problem

Create the database throug the NAV client, and then restore the SQL backup through EM. It could also be about missing users.
If you have a SQL backup of a valid Navison database there is no need to create an empty NAV database before restoring the SQL backup. In fact the restore wil just overwrite it anyway.
I know that, but it appears that this person is having some problems, so I suggested an alternative.
