What are the differences between the SQL Server 2008 R2 Workgroup & SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard. Can NAV2009 run on SQL Server 2008 R2 Workgroup ? I believe workgroup edition is cheaper, so can the client save some money by choosing workgroup edition for NAV?

The short answer is: NO. If you run a serious ERP system then it’s “Standard” or “Enterprise” (or “Datacenter”)
