Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (TableData 21 Cust. Ledger Entry Insert: Base Application)

I am new to Business Central and currently working on a project to migrate data from Oracle NetSuite to D365 Business Central. During the process of configuring a package and importing data, I encountered an error with the following message:

Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (TableData 21 Cust. Ledger Entry Insert: Base Application)

what i did : Even after manually filtering out problematic columns and importing only the valid ones, I encounter this permissions error at the very end. I reviewed the permission set list to check if I could adjust the “Insert” permission, but I can only view these permissions in read-only mode.

Any guidance or detailed steps on how to manage and resolve this would be extremely helpful.

Hi @Deepak_Prasad,

Configuration packages cannot be used to insert/update data in any “entry” tables. You can use the general journal line to load initial accounting balance and customer/vendor open ledger entries.

You can search on Google for this topic and you will find a lot of information on how you can do this… for instance, check out this link: A Strategy for Opening Balances in Business Central - Dynamics 365 Business Central.
