Set up multiple SKU's in multiple locations?

Hello,

Can you tell me, is there a quick way to set up SKU’s on 30+ items for 60+ individual engineer locations?

E.g. Item A = SKUs need to be set up for 60 locations, Item B = SKU’s need to be set up for 60 locations…and so on.

When I tried to create Stock keeping unit batch for all engineers (0…999999), Nav created SKU’s for all items in all locations existing in the system. All deleted now thankfully.

Ideally, setting up multiple locations via item card would be great but I’m not sure if this is possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

which nav version do you use? please always add the nav version to the tag list of the question.

which filters did you set when running report “Create Stockkeeping Unit” (5706)?

Apologies…I am still new to the forums

Using Dynamics Nav 2013. All engineer locations are numbers between 0…99999

I am trying to set up 60 SKU’s per item by location using “Create Stock Keeping Unit”

Nav is a clever system and I know there must be a quicker way to do this than creating SKU’s one by one. I just don’t know how?

Further testing results show that it is possible to set up batch SKU’s which we already know can be done…however, I am unable to find a way to set up all SKU’s with same parameters.

So now I find that closest solution so far is to create SKU cards for all locations - and still go into each individual sku card to set up parameters (Transfer Replenishment system, Safety qtys etc) this seems like a lot of work, especially when batch has created the SKU’s. Im stuck to find a way… SKU template cant be set up and used I don’t think. I would be really grateful for any help at all with this

  • Is it possible to set up multiple SKU’s with same parameters in multiple locations

on page item card you have the action item “create stockkeeping unit”. that runs the according report. there you can set filters to create SKUs in a bulk, e.g. No. filter: 1000…2000.

“Template” for a new stockkeeping unit is the item itself - all parameters like replenishment system, safety stock etc. are copied from the item card. So you’ll need to setup your items and run “Create Stockkeping Unit” report with a filter on item no. Still, there is a trouble here - you won’t be able to create stockkeeping units with transfer replenishment. Replenishment system “Transfer” can only be set for SKU’s, it is not available for items. It still has to be set manually.

Thank you very much for your help.
