Session Killer for Navision Server Option

Hi, Recently I downloaded a “session killer” which will force a disconnection of the Navision client in a remote location from the server and ultimately free a Navision session. But it is exclusively for SQL server option.i need to do the same with the Navision server option. Can any one help me out to do this or is there any other alternate methods that one could adopt to make this possible. Thanks, Thrishna

This has been discussed many times before. Check out the ExpandIT solutions at: http://www.expandit.com/default.htm

Hi, You can also check out Auto Close Idle. It works with either Navision Native, or SQL option. See here for screen shot and details: http://www.autocloseidle.com

Is there any Freeware available?

Standard feature in 3.70. Just press F4 on a user in the session list

Lars, that’s for the SQL Option. I think the topic is about the Navision-DB.

Sorry. Should have read the post a bit more carefully[:I]. And Yes, it’s only for SQL

The only freewares that you could find are those that kill the client’s task. This would crash the client and not give it the chance to save anything or do any clean up. At least this would cause memory leaks. I am not sure if it will cause a loss of data, but it’s best to stay on the safe side.

Exactly! Who wants?! All possible ways should be estimated before making final decision. If there’s any freeware then why to pay? [:)]

Arthur, then I’m sure you can wait til 4.0 - it will be in there for Navision Server too, along with an ‘Idle Time’ for each Session.
