Sales Price model: contribution ratio

Hi,

Anyone familiar sales price model contribution ratio is working?

Let assume i have scenario where i need ensure my sales price cannot lower then my standard cost.

Does this sales price model contribution model can help?

Assuem system setting:

1) Set the sales price model field to Contribution ratio.

2) (Assume) Base price =Cost Price

2) Specify the desired contribution for use in calculating the sales price. Example: 100%

3) System auto propose price/discount tab > Base sales price = 200

During, SO creation, the sales price is 200.

Q1) if i reduce the price/discount tab > Base sales price = 200 to 80. how contribution ratio can help?

Q2) Can i use contribution ratio, and using the sales trade agreement to store the sales price?

Any recommend web reading which provide good example of contribution ratio working?

Re: The AX diminishes the contribuition ratio and you will able to see that it down.

Q2) Can i use contribution ratio, and using the sales trade agreement to store the sales price?

Re: Since that the update in sales trade agreement is manual.

Hi there, I am using R3 Std costing method. I have active price sheet (costing version where I specified say purchase - 100; cost 100; sale price 100; all activated. after that, I open the released product, come to sell fast tab. select sales price model as cost price, set contribution ratio to 150%. Now when I open a new SO, I would expect to the unit cost price to be $150. but it is still $100. why?

the purchase/sales/cost prices are controlled by what and in what order? its bit confusing.

i specify active cost/purchase/sales prices. then also i have option to specify purchase/cost/sales price in the item details! which price will be taken?
