I am having a problem on the Sales order header i am selecting the requested receipt date, then once I am on the sales order lines it refreshes back to todays date :\ and doesnt filter down to all the sale order lines.
The only way around this at the moment is updating the header with a date at first, then going to the sales order line, expanding the sales order header again and re-entering the correct delivery date before I put on any sales order lines.
Ideally, this should just work once the date has been selected on the header.
Anyone else having the same problem/issue or any way it can be resolved??

Hi,
Once you create new SO, change the Delivery date to as you wished for and then insert the item in the Sales line,it will automatically capture the Delivery date which is mentioned at header level and same date will be reflected in the SO lines.
If you wish to change it to the existing SO then once you enter the new Delivery date at header level and try to save it, then it will throw one POPUP “Update Order Lines”, select the check box “Update ship & receipt date”. It will automatically update the Delivery date in the SO lines as well.

It isnt doing this, it is just refreshing back to todays date once you have clicked ok on the sales order header, which results in none of the lines having the correct date.

are you not getting the popup “Update order lines”, when you update the date? did you selected the check box in the that popup??
why don’t you insert manually date at header & lines level?

Open a new sales order, click on the header view, enter the requested receipt date and ship date, as per example:
These dates will be the defaults on all new sales order lines entered, as example:
If you add lines, then subsequently change the requested ship / receipt dates in the header, then you ‘could’ have a pop up to warn you and prompt you to update this dates, if the sales ledger parameters > Updates > Update orer lines is set to do so, as example:
You still need to confirm the ship and receipts dates … if you wish …

I have to acknowledge that you can add the requested receipt and ship dates when 1st creating a new sales order before a sales order is open … after selecting the customer, under the shipping fast tab, enter dates here … these dates dont filter through to the sales order header / lines. I am struggling as to why when entered here they do not update the header …anyway, hope this helps.
We dont want to do it manually at line level, the reason for this is because some orders could have over 40-50 lines if they are a display, this would massively increase time in entering each order line and checking.
All the parameters are set at prompt
