Row definition -Export to a file--Error

Hi,

I am trying to export the Row Definition from one company and then import in another company, so that i can save some time.

GL-Setup-Financial Statement-Row definition-- TEMPLATE --Export to a file.

I get an error message

“Row definition ‘Balance Sheet’ contains elements with fixed priority. Export canceled”

Any idea.

hey i just have a doubt in that sequence you gave! 'm trying to understand your query!

GL-Setup-Financial Statement-Row definition-- TEMPLATE --Export to a file.

i have the financial statements only in reports! in setup i don have it! cn you tell me a bit clearly please!

Hi,

I am not trying to export the report, as I mentioned I am trying to save my time by exporting the design of the row definition

The setup of the ROW DEFINITION is done here…

GL-Setup-Financial Statement-Row definition

From here only we can export the Row definition to some file and then re-import to another Company.

This will save my time in designing

Please advice.

TP

oh 'm sorry dear! i know only MS Dynamics Navision! thats why i asked first itself! sorry! i really wanted to help:)

we have same problem…

For some reason that I don’t reach to know, exportation can not be performed when in the structure there are items with types element or structure.

If a row definition in the template that is being exported has a value of or in the drop-down list, the export cannot proceed. Instead, you will receive an error message that indicates the row definition that has a fixed priority ( or rows).

a template row definition can only contain rows of type , , or .

As far as I know, this is AX default.

You can comment the code on LedgerRowDefExport class, run method and the export will be done succesfully. After that you could import the file into the other company

Otherwise you always have the option to create a new definition group with the AX tables involved on this form and export/import the data
