Any new members want to introduce themselves? Any old members want to remind us that you’re around?
I’m Jake. I like longs walks on the beach and I can spell both NAV and BC. I’m excited about this community and I’m going to get you people involved if I have to drag you kicking and screaming,
Also, if you can’t reply to this post, go back to https://dynamicsuser.net/nav/, navigate to the right, and click “Join group”. Then you should be good to go!
OK, I’ll bite. I’m Tom, and I’m a software developer (not in NAV though). I’m on the prowl for advice and maybe training for our users, but I’ll just be lurking for a while.
Hey Tom, welcome to the group! The team here at DUG is working on “Skill-up” too, which is offers more formal, instructor-led training, but the forums are great for asking questions and socializing as well! People are adding more and more content each day on Skill-up.

Hi, I’m Erik [emoticon:c28b2e4cc20f4ba28d1befdba6bed29c]
And I’ve not been here so much the last couple of months, but I have been around here forever.
With that many years in the community, I do take a small “community break” when I’m too busy with “other things” or just had too much community [emoticon:bfea11b94cc048458ee2c01f963db38d]. That just means I’m actually still here, just in the background making sure the servers etc. are still running.
Now with Jon, Jake, Molly, Liz and Rich in DUG, that may free up a lot of time, which I still expect to use on DUG, mostly in the forums, and hope to get back into blogging.
OK, I’ll dive into the pond… I’m Steve or Steven, your choice. I have been implementing and architecting NAV and BC since 2000, yes v2.x (scary). I like to travel, cook, and lately exercise (heck being locked up you have to do something). My other bad habit, no not that one, is Lego’s. If you need help, advice or direction, I’m always here.
The 2.x that Steve refers to is Navision Financials 2.0 - which was with the new number series used for the Windows version. I started with DOS version 2.12 ten years ealier.
But I can recommend a link where you can see all the versions and the different names it had since 1985:
Hi Jake, I’m just getting into Business Central myself after launching it for the company I work for starting last year. My learning curve was very steep and still felt less knowledgeable than our consultant after so much time spent on it. Now that the project is mostly completed I am digging into improving it through (small) custom extensions. With that and learning Power BI, I think we’ll have a pretty killer system on our hands.
I’ve been tinkering with computers since the days of the Vic 20. My background is primarily sysadmin and tech, but I love learning new things and am willing to go where new knowledge takes me.
