Replication from one country to another

We are setting up a new office in a new country. We will have a complete setup there but we are planning on replicating the total data for the company to our server. That is, from that head office to our head office. This will be done through vpn. But the actual concern is, replicating outlet data to HO is a few table data. However, thecomplete data from one HO to another. Would like all your feed back…

Replicating itself is not a big issue as long as you have a clear vision about what do you want to replicate. There are several 3rd party products on the market. As you want to have an exact copy of your database in both locations that setup is quite easy. However, do not underestimate your bandwith. Serveral tools “collect” the data to replicate and then compress them to send it over to the other database. Please let us know your visions/plannings. I think we are able to help you in this issue. Regards Walter

Well, the plan goes like this … Head Office in PArent country In the Child Country, there will normal setup of Head office Server, POS at outlets connected to the Head Office with normal replication. At the end of the day, the Child Country head office data, that is all of it, should be replicated to the Parent Country head office. Of course it will be a seperate company. The data will be viewed in the parent country as well as used for various reporting requirements. How to go about that??

Possible. You might have a look here: http://www.databackbone.com/domsite/backbone.nsf/products/Replicator?opendocument With the replicator you can do exactly what you want to do.

Are you using native or SQL database? Have you investigated the SQL replication functionality?

I am using native server
