Renaming objects

Is it possible to rename published objects in any way without losing data. For example I published a table 50100 “Table 1” and I want to rename it to “Table 2”. And if not, why it’s not possible to do so anymore?

I am not a developer but have seen our developers rename objects in NAV.

Hi Blaz,
You’re right. If you talk about AL Extensions, then you cannot rename tables. Instead you need to make table1 obsolete, create a new table2 and move the data to the new table.

It’s because AL extensions are designed for the cloud.
If you are On-premise, then you can still do it, but you need to first uninstall the extension, and then use ForceSync to synchronize the new app.
