Ransom ware Messed up our server

Hello guys i am shocked to tell Ransom ware Messed up our server encrypting every bit of files on the server including our backup.Luckily it failed to modify the main sql server data file because the service was running Thanks for God.

and we are only late by one day of transaction and we are trying to clean boot the server.And i need to ask a question.

1.How do i get all user permissions and personalisation from the old backup.Will dynamics nav recognize all users if i recreate and import to nav from windows Active directory.

Hi Alemayehu,

If you still have your SQL Server and all the data intact, then what is the problem? I don’t understand. Or do you mean that it didn’t touch your backups?

My Problem was how to migrate all user permissions and personalizations from old backup and i figured it out using mohanas power shell script.

So you did have you backups! That’s good!

I added one super user using this script and be able to copy all permissions and User personalization.
