It is linked on demand from planning, you cannot link it back, but it is not necessary as you will have defined the coverage to cope with this, and perhaps marking/reservation.
Efficiency is per operation, so if it takes 1 hour and is 50% efficient it will schedule 2 hours.
This is done by the demand date of the requirements and associated settings/considerations.
Yes depending upon the item coverage settings of the item. You distribute through the picking process of sales, not production.
Other option to manage priority (your 3rd question) could be the use of the Priority field, in the Setup tab of the production order, Scheduling group. The highest the number, the highest priority. But this field is not linked to MPS, is of manual use for each production order.
