Hi,
I configured and activate multiple PR workflows based on Financial dimension department(My client requested workflow based department as he is having 100 departments). For each department I’ve created one workflow ID by putting condition PurchaseRequisitionLines.Dimension.Department=xxx but when I submit PR for approval it will always redirecting to default workflow ID irrespective of the department dimension value.
Please help me in resolving the issue. Also let me know if I did wrong configuration,

Yes, it is possible to have multiple workflows like that. Is your condition in the activation section of the workflow, at the top level of the workflow? You could try setting the condition based upon Purchase requisition->purchase requisition lines->source document line->accounting distributions->Ledgerdimensions.Department.
In your setup, you may have selected PurchaseRequisitionLines.DefaultDimension.Department. That won’t test the actual department dimension in the lines of the requisition.
However, that is a ton of workflows to setup and maintain. What is the purpose of having a different workflow routing based upon department? If it needs to be routed to department managers, it is much better to set up HR jobs, positions, the organizational structure, & approval limits. Then, you can route the approval up through the hierarchy. That is much more efficient, and easier to setup & maintain.

Hi,
You can setup the Approval Limits and use Reporting Hirerachy as in Departments there are Managers. You can set this to any line Manager level and can also set up the automatic actions.
