I have 3 levels of approvals for the PRs. once the PR is submitted it goes to the personA for approval, next person B s approval and last person Cs approval. During this series of approvals my status fo the PR wll be “pending approval”. But i want to be able to see from whcih user it is waiting the approval. But not for the individual PR…for individual we can see it by going to the workflow history but i need a overall picture.
Suppose, I have 10 PRs Pending approval…I want some report or inquiry which tell me 3 are waiting for approval from person A, 3 are waiting from person B, and 4 are waiting for person C.
If my purchase requistion value is less than or equal to 10000 rs, no need approval is require. Suppose if purchase requistion value is more than 10000, i will assign to my manager (Raghava). is this work flow is link with employee hierarchy. If u have document can you share the document. It is very urgent.
Try to assign a postion hierarchy with one user as Administrator and the remaining requistioners as direct reports to Admin, then you can see all the purchase requisitons of your direct reports from Common forms - Purchase requisition for my direct reports.
I assigned position hierarchy to employees and created the purchase requistion and submitted but for approver not get the action line to approve on PR header.
First of all, for your requirement you do not need any position hierarchy or employee hierarchy. Simple workflow configuration will do the needful.
As you are working on AX2009, I suggest you to first ensure that the workflow components and setups are working. First, You configure the simple workflow(forget the condition 10000) to route all the purchase requisitions to your manager “Raghava” and check whether he is able to see the workflow bar and he must be able to see the approve button.
If he is not able to see the approve button, then
→ on the PR, click Actions>view history> See the last tab, you can find some error(if there is any problem with workflow setup)…share that screen shot with us to see what is the reason.
Roughly your simple workflow configuration will be as below. In the assignment tab select the user based and choose “Raghava”. If he is still not able to see that

" but not to the query of Satya’s. Please recheck the same, this post consists of two questions prompted by you & Satya.
Go to AOT>Forms>Tutorial_workflowprocessor > click start button on the form> you will see a message on the form “X records are currently in the queue”, then wait till it becomes “0” records are currently in the queue.
Now, go and check whether the user get the “Approve” button in the workflow bar. If it works, then i can tell u few settings which might have missed in the “Batch processing setups”
