i successfully backed up a database…now when i try to restore, it says, "restoration of the backup was interrupted because the company ‘so and so company, inc.’ is already in the database. how can i get around this please… thanks, Trint
Rename the existing company [:)]
Hi Trint, Click on File–>Company–>Open and check whether the company name ‘so and so company, inc.’ already exists. If it exists then just rename it and try to restore the backup again… it will allow you to restore

hi If you will try to restore the backup on the same databse it will give you this porblem. Create a new database and restore the backup there, you will not find this porblem. If you try to restore the backup on the same database, from which you have taken the backup, then you have to either delete the company or rename as people have suggested above and then only restore the backup.
