When opening Navision the navigation pane expands over the whole screen and all the other windows opens behind it. It is impossible to reach the other windows. Even when I open the menu suite designer I can’t get to the properties because it opens behind the navigation pane. Has anyone experienced this? How do I solve this? TiA,
Hi, This is a know bug in Navision 4.0, sometimes in happens unfortunately. The only solution is to delete your zup file. This is located in C:\Documents and settings\
Hi Mark and thank you for your answer[:)] But… I can’t find the zup file. Why is that? Does this have anything to do with the fact that we use SQL database? Regards,
That should not make a difference I think. If you search you also need to activate the hidden files and system files options. If that does not help, you need to look in you navision shortcut, if there is something in there with ID= what is refering to a different location of the zup file.
Hehehe… yes, maybe I should show hidden files… [:I] Thanx Mark, deleting the zup file fixed it! Regards [:I]
I’m curious as to how this happened in the first place though. Do you know what led up to the sudden change in size?
According to the posts about this, it has something to do with heavy duty tasks. It is not reported on sp1 yet. Off course I cannot say what happened in Birte’s situation.
I have noticed, that this sometimes occures, when the screensaver comes up and that the surface of Navision disappears.
We had the same experience as Michael. The screensaver had switched on, and when we went back into Navision the surface of Navision disappeared. The hole screen went grey…
Seems like its not so easy to reproduce. If anyone has a stable reproduction (by which I mean I can reproduce it!) for it please post it here.
Maybe it is of interest to know that we used remote desktop to connect to the server…?
There is an Update 1 for Navision ver. 4.00 from 10-01-2005. Have you installed that update? Regards,
No, we are waiting for the norwegian update…
Sp1 is not released in most countries yet.
Steen is referring to “Update 1”, not SP1. But there is nothing in it to solve this issue. You can search for info on Update 1 for 4.0 on these forums. Remote desktop may well be a factor of course.
This happens on locally installed clients as well.
