Has anyone seen this infolog error before and/or know what causes it?
Quantity 96 cannot be updated with inventory reference prod. reported as finished journal because inventory transactions with status Ordered, Arrived or Registered are insufficient.
I’m trying to report 168 pieces against a production order which has a started quantity of 4,032 and journals to account for 3,792. The system is preventing me from exceeding the 4,032 total, I have no problem with that. Except the “Report remainder as finished” field indicates a quantity of 504. How or why would it indicate 504?
I am unable to locate a journal entry ending the job or operation.
I had the same issue with transfer order picking and sales order picking when certain MDIS addons were involved. I had to get code fixes for both of these.
Of course yours does say registered - are you registering stock, if so how many are registered?
What was the good quantity of the last operation in the route?
Are you aware of the accept error option?
504 maybe a registration difference, depends on the good quantity from the last op, as well as registration and RAF.

The last reported quantity was 3600, less than has already been reported. I’m not familiar with “MDIS addons”, could you fill me in? We don’t register stock per-se but we have separated the job card and report as finished journal functions so they do not occur simultaneously. Are you referring the option for accepting errors during posting? I am aware of this option unfortunately my system simply transfers all lines to a new journal and I’m still in the same boat as before.

Hi The accept error is on the report as finished general tab (I think), although I do not believe it will help with this error. The MDIS are elements like FullScopes Process, so a code merge is required to standard AX.
