Posting negative picking list

Hello,

I am trying to post a negative picking list to reverse a previously posted positive one. When I do I get a message “Quantity returned exceeds updated physical and financial quantity”. I have the setting to allow pick negative on the production order and item group. What else do I need to look at?

Look at the production postings and validate if you used 1 you have not already unused it - so in other words 1 is consumed for you to negatively consume.

Then you have the cost, so you need to look at the cost of consumption and ensure the cost you are trying to reverse is not greater than the cost you consumed.

Thank you for your reponse. You were correct in that it turned out there was a cost change to the item and it was trying to return more cost than was initially used.
