I actually thought France would win, but I guess Zidane had other plans. I assme he is now in some French wittness protection program for the next 4 years. [:$]

I don’t think French or anybody else should blame too hard Zidane for his act… The pressure on his shoulders was just too huge. I think everybody, including himself, expected he would be the hero again. He already did a lot bringing France into finals; he also had good ocasion to score, but the luck seemed to be with Italians last night. Congratulations Italy, Congratulations Zidane and France.
I agree, not that I am a big fan of him but the guy sure was playing under a lot of pressure and at such time if somebody even says “LOSER” trust me you would like to kill him…what he did was wrong but he still is the best football player …
I don’t want to villify anyone, making mistakes is human, and he is one of the greats no doubt. The French were let down though, by two of their star players. One with the mistake and the other by getting too tired to finish the game. Would it have been the same outcome with Zidane and Henry all the way through to the end? I don’t know, the Italians were playing very well, but for sure there were two big gaps there.
When ypu earn $25,000 per year you are allowed to make a few small mistakes, and your boss does not get upset.
When you make the stupid moeny these primadonas make, then one mistake is not acceptable … ever. The finacers of the French team should be wanting their money back, and as I said, I imagine that the guy is now in a witness protection program for then next 4 years at least.
No sorry, that head butt was not acceptable under ANY circumstances.Stress !! yeah I am unders stress when its 4am on Monday morning and the client goes live at 8.00am, but I don’t go and head butt the CEO in the chest because I am under stress.
90% f the people in the world that know the name Zizane, know it only because “Isn’t he the guy that head butted that Italian guy in the Chest”.
Good point, and it’s an even bigger offense because of his veteran status. Anyway 
what’s done is done, I’m sure he’d like that split second back if he could.
