Point of Sale For GP

Does anyone have recommendations on a POS program that can integrate with GP? …and not Compass. Thank you in advance for any recommendations and feedback!

Hey Aleiha,

Not sure your application that you are wanting to use it, but we use Cavallo Salespad for our point of sale. Works great in all of our retail locations. We actually switched from Compass POS to Salespad. You can build a similar interface using Quick Picks in Salespad, where you can build a tree of categories/items and drill down to the items you are looking for.

I’d be happy to chat more in detail if you would like more info.

There are several POS programs available in the market that can integrate with GP. Some popular options include Vend, Square, Lightspeed, and Shopify POS. Each of these options has its own unique features and capabilities, so it’s important to evaluate them based on your specific business needs.

Vend is a cloud-based POS system that offers inventory management, customer management, and reporting features. It can integrate with GP through a third-party connector.

Square is a popular POS system that is easy to set up and use. It offers a variety of features, including inventory management, employee management, and payment processing. It can integrate with GP through a third-party connector.

Lightspeed is a cloud-based POS system that is designed for retail and restaurant businesses. It offers inventory management, customer management, and reporting features. It can integrate with GP through a third-party connector.

Shopify POS is a mobile POS system that is designed for both online and brick-and-mortar businesses. It offers inventory management, customer management, and reporting features. It can integrate with GP through a third-party connector.

It’s important to do your research and choose a POS system that best fits your business needs and budget.

SalesPad by Cavallo offers many modes of POS. It integrates with USB barcode scanners and with EMV terminals like PayFabric or Square. It also extends to many popular e-commerce options like Shopify and WooCommerce. The beauty of SalesPad is it can tie existing customer records directly to new orders to make specific routing very fast and easy, and can then progress the sale to automated workflows to fulfill the order (or not, if the customer is walking out the door with purchased merchandise). If you’d like to know more, feel free to reach out us at Cavallo for further discussion! See this video demo as well specificly about POS: Loom | Free Screen & Video Recording Software | Loom

Hi,
I suggest you use Retail Management Hero and I have an integration for POS with GP.
Thanks

Sure, there are several POS (Point of Sale) programs that can integrate with GP (Great Plains, now known as Microsoft Dynamics GP). Here are a few options:

  1. Square: Square offers a versatile POS system that can integrate with various accounting software including GP. It’s known for its ease of use and wide range of features.
  2. Shopify POS: If you’re running an e-commerce store alongside your physical store, Shopify POS might be a good option. It integrates seamlessly with GP and offers features tailored for retail businesses.
  3. Lightspeed: Lightspeed is a popular POS system known for its robust features and integrations. It can sync sales, inventory, and customer data with GP, helping streamline operations.
  4. Vend: Vend is another cloud-based POS system that can integrate with GP. It offers features like inventory management, reporting, and customer management.
  5. Toast: If you’re in the restaurant industry, Toast might be a good option. It’s a POS system designed specifically for restaurants and can integrate with GP for seamless accounting.

These are just a few options, and there are many other POS systems available in the market. Be sure to evaluate each one based on your specific business needs and requirements. Additionally, it’s a good idea to reach out to each provider to confirm their compatibility and integration capabilities with GP.
