A phantom BOM is a BOM structure that is not an item, a sub assembly. Basically they are the ‘recipe’ of something that you don’t intend to actually store as a unit. You would use it as a component of another BOM.
You can have a manufactured Item made up of sub assemplies and other items. By putting the phantom BOM in the component list, the components become part of your BOM and when it is entered into a production order, its components are take into consideration of the manufacturing system.
Thanks so much, Now I know Phantom BOM and when I use it. I hope you often online to support everybody.
Hi Pham,
Just a little off topic comment. When you have asked a question and someone has given you the right answer, then you should verify the solution this person came with. Not your own comment - unless none of the other members helped you to find your solution.
So I have changed your own last post from being marked as the solution, to mark Daniels answer to you as the Solution.
