In response to the penny shortage, we have implemented penny rounding to the nearest $.05. It generates a variance for the difference. How are you handling the variance in the GL?
In one of our D365 F&O implementations, we created a separate main account for penny rounding differences.
The rounding account is configured under automatic transactions, so the system posts the variance there during invoice posting.
This keeps customer/vendor balances clean and makes reconciliation much easier since all rounding variances are tracked in one place.
