Partail Production?

Im trying different scenio during my testing in Production Module,

i created a production order ITEM A with 2 quantity… i started at quantity of 2, however when i “report as Finished” only 1 (one) is reported …then i ended it…thinking that it was just a partial production. I’m actually expecting that the Production order would open again to “report” the remaining QTY, but i was wrong… it didn’t open again and when i check the update there is no remaining qty to report. the problem is, the QTY deducted to raw materials under my BOM are good enough to produce 2 ITEM A. Does it mean i need to wait for the remaining qty to be reported as finished before i end the production? Is there any way to report the remaining qty since the qty of raw mats and etc. has been deducted?

By the way im using AX 4.0

Once partial qty is reported as finished the next thing to do is to go to UPDATE and reset status to STARTED. After this you can complete remaining qty and raf.

Only after ensuring full qty is booked production order “ENDED” to be done. Once ended it cannot be reset.

Production order can only be ended once, which financially updates the production cost.

While doing RAF remove the end job flag, which allows multiple RAF’s.

Regarding the transaction that has already been have a high cost, means a single will have the cost of two (double cost) as it is over consumption. One way to correct it is, create another production order for the items A with 2 qty and consume same item with 1 qty

Hi Kranthi,

It’s been a big to me…actually im running on different scenario which might take place during the implementation… we’ll handle training for the users so i think i should be prepared on those kind of scenario.

Thanks A Lot.
